Lasico Model 30 Mechanical Planimeter Area Measurement Tool is used for measurements of areas of any shape from plans, maps, recorder diagrams, photographs, etc. Simply trace the outline of an area with a cursor to obtain its size. Mechanical Planimeter is the most popular type. They are economical and offer good overall accuracy and range for most applications involving medium sized areas. The measuring wheel rides directly on the measuring surface. It is integrated into a measuring mechanism with a dial, drum and vernier readout system with a maximum counting capacity of 4 digits (9999).

Lasico Mechanical Planimeter is among the most precise and reliable instruments of this type with these features: This model is equipped with a vernier magnifier and with a zero set wheel. Features like a tilted body design and a parallax free tracer lens permit convenient operation without the need to bend over the instrument during tracing and readout. Protective hard case is included.
